ST FAITH’S CHURCH - MARRIAGE FORUM

Purpose

The marriage forum is a place where those who are married can have fellowship, discussion, exchange of experiences, support, advice and encouragement from each other, especially in view of the challenges facing married couples and families in modern times. Strong, healthy marriages mean strong, healthy churches and communities. The Forum is constantly seeking ways to help couples strengthen their marriages.

Objectives.

The objectives of the Marriage Forum include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Promoting God’s plan for marriage through teaching married couples what the Scriptures teach concerning Christian marriage;

  • Betterment of marital and family communications;

  • Encouragement of couples and families to work toward the ideal in relationships set forth in the Holy Scripture;

  • Fostering of fellowship, witness, and deep interpersonal sharing in relationships as described in the New Testament;

  • Providing tools to couples and families for improving their relationship with each other and with God in Christ Jesus;

Meetings

The Forum is scheduled to hold six meetings, including a week end away per annum. Meetings are held on Saturdays between 6:00 – 8:00pm.

The end of the year meeting is normally held on Friday evening of the first week in December every year.

Membership

Membership to the Forum is open to all fellow congregants that are in marriages, irrespective of whether their spouses are at St Faith’s or not. The forum provides an environment for growth, sharing ideas and togetherness and ultimately stronger marriages and families.
